Adobo seasoning is an all-purpose blend popular in southwestern dishes. Our Organic Adobo Seasoning features the perfect blend of garlic, onion, and black pepper along with other supporting herbs and spices that are different from the usual Mexican blends. Use to add depth without the heat to meats, poultry, fish, beans and rice dishes. Rub or sprinkle on seafood and meat before grilling or frying. Chicken and pork are the two most common meats used in adobo seasoned recipes. You can also use Adobo to season chili meat (beef, chicken or turkey), guacamole, black beans, red beans or tacos.
Make An Adobo Sauce
To make an adobo sauce add 1/2 cup our of adobo seasoning to 1/4 cup or lemon juice, 1/4 cup of white wine vinegar, 3/4 cup of oranges juice, 1/4 cup of olive oil. Add all these to a blender and mix until smooth. Then transfer to a sauce pan and cook on medium low for about 25 minutes until the sauce thickens. You may like to ad a half cup of chopped onions to the blend before blending for a great oniony flavor if you desire.
